Here is a cut down version of the concept video for my project.
The exhibition is now over. I think it went down quite well. I checked the next day (after the opening night) and found that about 50 messages were posted on the night so i am quite pleased!
I was up every morning to turn the installation on and thankfully i did get messages throughout the week. Though i did notice a gradual descent into people posting non goodwill related messages such as someone advertising their production company! But this is a lesson learnt and has taught me a few things that will no doubt be useful for next year…….i kinda expected it aterall..but it got a lot less abuse than i thought it would so……………

final week till our Spiritual Objects exhibit on top of a HCI report to be done for friday…yikes…

Avian - mostly telling us/offering advice about the mock interviews that we will be doing. Daunting stuff (for me anyway!). But will be interesting to see how i do, for better or worse.

Someone pointed out to me that i don’t write much in this blog. no shit.
I quite like just using it for random findings or a (another) place to post photos (any excuse!). As long as it lets me express something i think that it is purpose served (does that even make sense?). Also i find anything i write to be a little cringeworthy..
Just posting photos and stuff allows me to express in a slightly more detached way no?

Easter
okay, so i totally lied in my last post about posting stuff. It ended up being a busier week than i had anticipated. The night before the exhibition resulted in (many of us) with no sleep, but i did get my computing report typed up. We all ended up looking like the walking dead at our own exhibit. Not good. However i did not meet the concept video deadline, but we ended up with an extension anyway…
There is less than two weeks left till dissertation proposal 3 is handed in and i’m starting form the beginning, again. However, its going better this time…3rd time lucky.
The computing exam is the day after the dissertation hand in. Great.

So after my last post (which i already ‘regret’ posting but anyway..whatever) here is another!
Ummmm so lately i have been busy learning Processing for my 3rd project Spiritual Objects. I am taking it slowly however as i’m not really much of a programmer but i do believe if i try hard enough it’ll eventually sink in, even if just a little, it all adds up!
I also (with some assistance) managed to get a database set up along with some PHP. I hope that the work i produce in Processing can talk to my PHP who will then talk to my database. This will give me some real time output via Processing of whatever i want…
